This jet lag is really starting to bother me .. Since I got here I haven’t gotten a decent night of sleep because I either wake up in the middle of the night or I can’t fall asleep until 4/5am.
Anyway, after two hours of sleep I got up at 6:30am this morning because Shaun and I had to catch the bus to malacca, Malaysia. After one hour of waiting (turns out nothing is ever on time here) and thinking about plan b, the bus finally showed up and Shaun, me and a couple of dads with their kids got on the road to Malaysia. First stop: Legoland!
After dropping them off it was only Shaun and me (going on to malacca) and the bus driver which was why all of a sudden we had to switch busses in the middle of nowhere. Not only that and the delay but also the weird noises our new bus made started us wondering what we had gotten ourselves into… BUT we survived and it was actually kinda exciting ;)
Once we got to malacca we found out that this city was probably not gonna be the most interesting one on our trip: only 3 important sights, almost all shops and restaurants close at 5:30pm, busses go every 30-45 min… Yeah, it’s just that lame haha but the old buildings and the area around Chinatown are really pretty so tomorrow I’m just gonna walk around a little and maybe find a nice spot to relax or read or something. And on Friday I’ll take the bus to Penang !! I’m really excited about going there because it’s supposed to be a really pretty island although I’m not too thrilled about the 7 hour ride on one of those mystery busses ..
