Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

img_3438Got to Cameron Highlands today at 2pm per bus where I met Roel from Holland who was also staying at the House of Journey in Penang. The 6 hour bus ride was actually not bad at all and the bus was really nice again (gotta enjoy that before I’m getting to Thailand, Laos and Vietnam). Once we got her and checked into our hostels, we went on a little 2-hour hike in the forest/jungle. We didn’t really know where we were going and we kinda expected something totally different…Maybe a little more hiking instead of climbing, but it was really fun and our first little nature adventure here.

After that we had some Indian food dinner and I booked a half day tour for tomorrow: I’m gonna be seeing the tea plantations, the strawberry farm, I’ll be walking up the highest mountain here and hike through the mossy forest. And we already booked our bus to Kuala Lumpur for the day after tomorrow – nice to know that we’ll be traveling together for a couple of days.
We only have 19 degrees Celsius here at night by the way (and that feels way colder than it sounds, trust me) – so it’s pretty cold and I’ve been even wearing my sweater during the day. Already missing the hot weather, can’t wait for KL!
