They call it paradise

Making our way from the mainland of Krabi to Raylay beach via long tail boat was still easy, getting to the Hidden Lagoon not so much anymore. Wearing flip flops made the (actual) climb a little harder but we got there anyway and it was well worth all the efforts!

Took a nice little swim in the lagoon and spent the rest of the day just hanging out at the beach. Also met a lot of nice people helping us (especially me, since I’m not that good of a climber) conquer the jungle trail towards the lagoon. It’s been a successful and pretty athletic day for us!

HOW WE GOT TO PARADISE

Do you know that feeling when everything around you seems to be so confusing, kinda sketchy and anything but organized? In those situations you just have to have trust in what’s happening and that everything will work out eventually. And that’s what we did on our way to Thailand. We trusted in the bus driver to not kill us while speeding on crappy roads, we trusted in the guy at the random road stop to hand us back our passports, we trusted in the lady at the money exchange to give us a fair rate because is was the last chance to get baht which apparently we needed for the corrupt immigration officers, we trusted in the corrupt immigration officers to let us enter Thailand and finally we trusted in the cooperation between our driver and the lady at the bus station that they would actually get us on a different bus from Hat Yai to Krabi and not just leave us there in this little town right behind the border. And in the end everything worked out eventually and we made it to Ao Nang safely. Nothing to worry about.
