I could’ve spent so much more time in Cambodia! It’s such a shame I only had five days to explore this amazing country.
Pub street in Siem Reap – one of the craziest streets I’ve ever seen in my life
Night out with Bas and Dianga from the Netherlands and Stella from Denmark. Pool, wine and good talks make for a great night!
I did bought two bracelets form these girls but I couldn’t buy from each one of them and the disappointment but also the anger I got to see in their eyes was devastating
The Bamboo train in Battambang: when another train comes the opposite direction, one cart has to be lifted off the tracks in order to let the other one pass. Not a big deal, since the train only consists of two iron axes and the bamboo platform with the little engine, which can easily be carried to the side of the track. Had lots of fun on this little adventure with Bas and Dianga from the Netherlands – definitely going to visit these two when I’m in Maastricht!
Amok – the traditional Khmer dish. With either chicken, pork or shrimp it kinda tastes like a curry
Lotus plant – some other backpackers gave me this to try. You pop out the little seeds, bite them open and eat the inside. Sort of a funny taste, reminded me of sweet peas
Of course, also in Cambodia, I couldn’t get around my fruit-musli-yogurt breakfast
